We got treble in River City...

There is no shortage of stereotyping of Irish Americans; that we love our traditions, we are stubborn and resistant to change. That said, here’s a little of what I overheard at last month's Fairfield County Irish Festival as the dancers, trying some new choreography, took the stage:

"I’m not sticking around for this, this isn’t Irish dancing."

"They were good, until they started that Riverdance crap with their arms."

"What is this, step dancing or 'Stomp’??"
